Foundry Training Program
Due to the ongoing efforts by AFI committee members, Apprentice Training has been re-established for foundry industry staff, and is now being delivered and managed by GO TAFE Victoria. Brett Ambrosio will give a presentation on the progress of the current program, the benefits to staff and foundries and planned future activities.
John Zach will also provide an update on the ‘Foundry-In-A-Box’ concept for teaching the basics of casting to students with a view to motivate and inspire them to join our exciting and essential industry.

Die Cast Training Program
The online training program for Die Casting is proving to be convenient, comprehensive and of great benefit to Die Casting plants and their staff. Participants can log in at the times that suits them best, and work through the training materials and case studies. The objective is to eliminate Die Casting rejects and maximise production output, which can only be realised with fully trained technical staff.
