Event Details
It is expected that about 20 million metric tons of aluminium, from recycled vehicle wheels, will be available in the market over the next decade or so. This presentation is about the development of Die Cast parts, made from this particular secondary feedstock, which are capable of being used in structural automotive applications.
A technical paper on this work, by Dr Roger Lumley, was published by the Journal of Materials in early 2019, and it subsequently won the ‘best paper’ award by Engineers Australia.
We are very fortunate that Roger himself is available to make this presentation to ADCA and AFI, on a topic that is of great relevance to our industry.
Please come along to learn more, and meet up with others in the industry.
