14aug6:00 pmSensors and Data Systems for Casting

Event Details

Casting quality can be improved by accurate measurement of the parameters such as temperatures, pressures, forces, position and others, which directly, and indirectly, control the process.

Over recent years, big advances have been made in developing new sensors and sensor technologies. The range of available sensors is much greater, their performance is better and the prices make them affordable and practical for use in a manufacturing plant.

Bestech Sensors will give a presentation on a number of new types of sensors which have been used in casting plants in other countries, including: new temperature measuring sensors, thermal Imaging cameras, molten metal level measurement, strain and eddy current sensors for tie bars and eddy current sensors for measuring gaps inside tooling due to thermal expansion.

Hotflo will provide an update on their new Shot Monitoring and Data Acquisition system which can take input from any type of sensor on, and inside, Die Casting dies.

Come along and find out how your plant can benefit from these new developments.
