Event Details
This joint ADCA-AFI event will show you a different form of manufacturing: sheet glass used in the building industry. This significant manufacturing plant takes in the raw materials, melts them in a furnace and forms the molten material into a long thin ‘ribbon’ which floats out on a bath of molten metal before cooling down to become a solid plate of glass. Stringent measurements and quality controls are applied to every stage of the process. (See website: www.oceaniaglass.com.au)
Come along and learn how they do it.
