ADCA/AFI Factory of the Future Site Visit

Testlab 4.0 at the Factory of the Future, Swinburne University, Hawthorn, Victoria, is a state of the art connected factory and comprises of an automated quality inspection cell, a cyber-physical production line system, a symbiotic cell (collaborative workspace for human-machine interface) , automated indoor vehicle for component transfer, all of which are controlled by a manufacturing execution system. A representative manufacturing digital twin predicting the throughput of the connected factory in real-time will be demonstrated.

In addition you will also see a demonstration of a number of applied research based industry use-cases developed by Factory of the Future.

Parking:
The Hawthorn campus has one public multi-level car park on Wakefield Street (multi-deck) $10 per day. This multi-story car park is in Wakefield St (map ref: B1) which runs right through the campus is here https://goo.gl/maps/h9o4KYMEj7F595dR9

1. Parking next to the campus is 2P – 3P only, which is strictly enforced. It is right in front of Woolworths Hawthorn – please zoom into the link, it is right next to the multi-level carpark)
2. The AMDC building/FoF is at map ref: D4, which is 3-4 minutes to walk from the car parks mentioned above. FoF is on its ground floor and you can access it rather easily from Burwood Rd as well, if someone decides to park there instead. FoF actually faces Burwood Road.
3. Free full day parking is available within 10 min walking distance around campus along the side streets and 2P bays (free after 5:30/6 pm) can be found on the side streets (e.g. Williams Street) which are good options at that time of the day because Glenferrie Road gets quite busy.
