Lyn George, Corporate Director of Austeng, based in Geelong Victoria, will describe how, following the closure of the local automotive industry, their company transitioned, and is now thriving with new customers and new opportunities for growth.

Australia’s Energy Transition

This presentation is a summary of an article which was recently published in the Quarterly Essay magazine, by Alan Finkel, engineer and former Chief Scientist of Australia. It clearly lays out all the practical, and achievable steps that we can take in Australia, to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions down to zero by 2050. It will be a massive project, however, despite all the media hype, it can be done, and we have time to do it.

The presentation will be made by Graham Wilson, followed by a discussion of the implications for the metal casting industry.
