Australian Manufacturing Week Review

This year the AMW exhibition was held in Melbourne from May 6^th to 9^th and was a very successful event. Over 400 companies and organisations were involved, presenting an impressive range of manufacturing equipment, processes and companies.

For the very first time, ADCA and AFI had a combined display to present the Australian Casting Industry to the broader manufacturing fraternity.

Every day there was a constant stream of people at our display, many of whom were surprised to know that there is still a casting industry in Australia! This just reinforces the importance of making our presence known.

Adam Hassall, Amber Maxwell and Alan Cooke will lead the discussion on what we achieved, and what we should do in the future.

Insurance Exposures You Might Not Know You Have

Laura Meyer of MeyerInsure will cover some of the aspects of insurance that all manufacturing plants need to understand. This includes factory fire issues, design changes, material failures, and out of spec. batches.
